I took some pics of our house today, it was starting to get a bit dark, so the lighting is not that good, anyway, I am sure you will get the idea!

So I am a slack blogger .....
I can't believe it has been nearly 2 months since my last post. Where has the time gone?
A lot has happened in the last few months.
I finally finished work, after 14 years with the same company. It was a bittersweet moment leaving, exciting, as I got a nice big payout, and I am starting a new chapter in my life, sad, as I had made a lot of friend's there, as I started there when I was 19!
We have moved house. Not a smart move when you are 27 weeks pregnant, my poor body was pretty tired there for a while, but we are all settled now. Love the new house, we are set in the bush, where all you hear a birds. They come up and sit on the verandah during the day, which is lovely. I will try and take some pics and post in the next few days.
I have started working for Mark 3 days a week, I have lots of paperwork to catch up on, I think it will take me a month to catch up. Then I might move down to 2 days a week. I will see how I am feeling.
My little man is going well, growing and getting bigger by the day. He is giving me a few whack now to remind me that he is there! He was nameless for a while, but I 'think' he is back to being Rory. Mark decided for some reason that he didn't like the name! *rolling eyes* On the weekend, we were in Babies Galore, and I saw those wooden letters, that you use on the babies door (for their name) and I said, that is what I want, if only we had a name picked!!! He said R O R Y, I will hate it for the rest of my life though ..... mmm I am not sure if I want him to hate the name. We just can't agree on anything else, he wants Declan, but I am not really taken with it, like I am Rory ... The other names we were thinking about were Darcy & Pierce ... Stay tuned, but he is Rory for now! We are telling family and friends that the boys name we have picked is Declan, so they will be really suprised if we name him Rory (No one knows that we are having a boy, except my online friends!)
I had my 28 week appointment Monday. I don't have Gestational Diabetes, and my Iron levels were good. YAY, one less thing to worry about! The Dr told me to lay off the fruit juice, and strawberries (my only pregnancy craving!) as they are high and sugar, and that means an increase in his birth weight. He said think of forceps everytime you have a craving ... mmmm nice thought, I don't want a forceps delivery! I haven't had a fruit juice or strawberry since! LOL Rory's position is head down, and 3/5th in the pelvis. A bit scary that he is in position already! But the Dr did say they move alot at this stage, and not to worry. He is very active, especially between 10pm - midnight! I hope this is not a sign of things to come ..... Mark feels him move and kick regularly now. I think this has made it all more real for him.
The nursery is all set up. Here are the pics. Only bits and pieces to do, wall hangings etc ....
and the belly taken last week:
Still no stretch marks, which I am eternally grateful for! I am sure I will get some though ....
Not much else going on. My birthday at the end of the month :o) I am getting old. Amazing how you thought 33 was old when you were in your 20's, now here I am 33, and about to become a mother for the first time.
Will be a better blogger now I have more time .... I promise!!
Over and out for now,
Bec
